Linda Burt
Linda Sue Burt 76, of Springfield, died at 2:08 am, Monday, October 6, 2025, at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She was born April 11, 1949, in Springfield, to Robert and Norma Curtis Burt.
Survivors include one sister Shirley Waldrop of Sherman; two brothers Larry Burt and Robert (Terry) Burt both of Springfield on niece, Terri Haerr; two nephews, Brian Burt and John Foreman; great niece, Olivia Haerr; great nephew, Tyler Haerr and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Sandy Burt; brother-in-law, Darrell Waldrop and two nieces, Sheri Lynn Foreman and Stacy Waldrop.
Linda worked as a supervisor for the State of Illinois Department of Transportation.
She was a St. Louis Cardinals and Elvis Presley fan. She was a member of Women’s Eagles Auxiliary.
Visitation: 10:30 am – 12:00 pm, Monday, October 13, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
The family will host a Celebration of Life and luncheon at 12:15 pm, Monday, October 13, 2025, at VFW 755.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
