Kyle Shane Johnson, 30, passed away on June 01, 2025 in Georgetown, TX.
Kyle was born on March 11, 1995 in Gothenburg, NE to parents Brock Johnson and Kimberly Wear.
Kyle was born and raised in Gothenburg, NE, graduating from Gothenburg High School with the class of 2013. He was active in FFA in high school and Boy Scouts growing up. Kyle joined the military in January of 2021, where he was stationed at Fort Cavasos after completing basic training and AIT training at Fort Benning in 2021.
He was a protective brother, loving husband, goofy uncle, caring son, and a dedicated friend. He loved fiercely and was always loyal to a fault. He loved to play video games, playing with his dogs, riding his motorcycle, and working on his 1980 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am that his dad gave him. He enjoyed military and action packed movies. He enjoyed farming with his dad and grandpa from the time he could walk, one of his memories that he enjoyed was his dad taking him to Las Vegas Speedway for his 21st birthday where he was able to drive one of the cars on the track. He has numerous accomplishments while serving in the Army. He enjoyed anything mechanical like working on vehicles and bikes, hunting, fishing, jet skiing, backroad racing when he was younger, and mudding. He enjoyed working on Army vehicles with his dad.
Kyle is survived by his wife, Samantha of Austin, TX, step-mother, Tami Johnson of Gothenburg, sisters, Abigail Johnson, New Jersey; Kara Olsen, Grand Island, NE; brother, Gage (Heidi) LeViner, Upland, NE; mom, Kimberly, niece, Mallory Olsen, Grand Island, NE; nephew, Alex Owen, North Plate, NE, father and mother in law Jon (Patti) Leviner of Galveston, TX and Terry Baker of Austin, TX, sister-in-law Cassie Baker of Seattle, WA, brother-in-law Chris Vogt of North Platte, NE, Grandmother Nancy Matson along with many extended family and friends.
Proceeding him in death were, his father, Brock Johnson, grandparents, Carole and Gene Johnson, Dennis Matson, and grandfather, Estel Wear Sr.
Private family services were held Friday, June 13, 2025 at Fort McPherson.
