Kevin McCarthy

It’s with extreme sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Kevin Joseph McCarthy. At the time of his death Kevin was surrounded by his wife and children. Kevin is survived by his wife Lara (Orsi) and children Clare, Colin and Mia. Beloved son of Alfred and Marilyn McCarthy and son-in-law to Sandra and Bernie Orsi. Loving brother to Karen, Theresa, Michael, Brian, Noreen and Timothy. He was a brother-in-law to Mark, Kristin and Elizabeth Orsi. Kevin attended Holy Name grammar school, was a graduate of St Ignatius Class of 1984 and Santa Clara University 1988.

Kevin was a beautiful soul whose kindness was infectious. His personality, wit and charm would light up a room. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was a cherished colleague and friend to many at Marvell Technology.

He will be dearly missed…

Services will be held Friday, October 31, 2025, at Holy Name of Jesus Church at 1555 39th Avenue, San Francisco. Visitation at 10:30 a.m., Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Kevin J. McCarthy ’84 Scholarship.
