Kathleen Bonds

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Bonds, affectionately known as Kate, who left us on Wednesday, June 18th, at the age of 79, following a brief and unexpected illness.

Kate was a devoted mother, grandmother, and cherished friend. She is survived by her beloved daughters: Shannon Bonds of Scottsdale, AZ; Colleen Connon (Brian) of Cave Creek, AZ; and Katie Dambrauskas (Al) of Aurora, CO. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Courtney Connon, and Jake and Addy Dambrauskas.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dick, and her cherished grandson, Danny Connon.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Kate was raised in a close-knit, loving family. She began her own family in Michigan, later moved to Minnesota, and eventually settled in Scottsdale, Arizona—her longest and most beloved home.

Kate carried a deep warmth and a genuine sense of connection throughout her life. She treasured her friendships and enriched the lives of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her kind heart, impeccable fashion sense, legendary shopping skills, and her unwavering love for her family. Kate never forgot to put on her lipstick, had a wonderful sense of humor, and brought joy wherever she went.

She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts. Donations in Kate’s honor can be made to Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
