Justin Owen

Justin Patrick Owen, 38 of Griffith Springs, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2025. He was born April 13, 1987 in Pine Bluff. He was a project manager for W.B. Shedd Industrial Services. Justin was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Owen Hunting Club and the Twin Cypress Hunting Club. His passion was mud racing and four-wheeling at Wild Man Race Track, where he was a member and a driver. Justin loved to hunt and fish with his boys. He also loved Woodlawn baseball and football, whether he was in the stands or on the sidelines coaching. Justin was a very devoted father, son, and husband, who would’ve done anything for anyone, day or night.

Preceding him in death is his maternal grandfather, Jerry Rainer, and paternal grandfather, Gene Owen.

Survivors include his loving wife, Emily Dickey of Griffith Springs; father, Gary Owen of Griffith Springs; mother, Nina Rainer Collins (David) of Little Rock; two sons, Jaxon Owen and Walker Owen of Griffith Springs; maternal grandmother, Patricia Wolter (Ronald) of Star City; paternal grandmother, Lena Owen of Griffith Springs; two brothers, Joshua Owen of Mountain Home and Anthony Owen of Griffith Springs; a host of nieces and nephews that he adored and many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 10:30-11:00AM at Griffin Funeral Service Chapel in Star City. Funeral services will follow at 11:00AM with Bro. Gary Carter officiating. Burial in New Owen Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to: Woodlawn Sports Complex, 1200 Ryburn Rd, Rison, AR 71665.The family will be at the home of Roland and Julie Dickey, 1802 Taylor Road in White Hall.
