Josephine Rieger

Josephine M. Rieger, 91, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on April 17, 2025 at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital, Poughkeepsie, NY. She was born in Yonkers, NY on September 8, 1933, the daughter of Daniel C. & Anna Morrone Defemio.

She married Robert Rieger on July 19, 1953 in Yonkers, NY. He predeceased her on January 31, 2014. Josephine was employed as a Bookkeeper at RBT Accounting in Poughkeepsie, NY and retired in 2022.

Josephine loved everyone and was adored by all who met her.

Survivors include her sisters: Dianne DaRonco of York town Heights, NY; Annette Barone of Poughkeepsie, NY and Lois DeMartino of Sarasota, Fl. Her nephews include: Louis Barone, Robert Barone, Anthony Barone, Frank DeMartino, Joseph DaRonco and her niece: Michele Messick. There are several great- nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at the Wm. G. Miller & Son FH, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, 9:30AM at St. Martin de Porres Church, 118 Cedar Valley Rd., Poughkeepsie, NY. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, NY.
