Joseph Kneeland
Joseph R. Kneeland, 85, of St. Catherines Manor in Scranton passed away July 18, 2025 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital after a brief illness.
Born February 10, 1940 in Arlington, MA, he was the son of the late John and Helen Kneeland. Joe was a graduate of Northeastern University, and served honorably in the US Army. Prior to his retirement he was employed by the Lackawanna County Children and Youth Services.
Joe enjoyed being with his grandson and all the special friends at St. Cathrines Manor. He loved reading the bible, crossword puzzles, and watching TV. Joe had a great sense of humor, and loved to laugh. He will be dearly missed by many.
Surviving are his daughter Ellen Bruckner, and husband Joe; his son Joseph Kneeland Jr.; his brothers: Arthur Kneeland and John Kneeland .
He was preceded in death by his grandson Monir Bruckner in 2019.
A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, August 3, 2025 at 3:30 p.m. in Duffy & Snowdon Funeral Home, 401 Church Street, Moscow, PA with Rev. Ginger Daubenhauser as officiating clergy and military honors to follow.
Friends may call on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
