Jose Mendoza Jimenez, Jr., lovingly known as Pa, Jojie, Joe, Ogie, and Daddy Joe, passed away on August 11, 2025, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. Born on October 20, 1948, in Rosario, Cavite, Philippines, he was the beloved son of Jose Raqueño Jimenez and Martina Mendoza Jimenez.
In 1974, Jose came to America, carrying with him the values of hard work, faith, and devotion to family that would define his life. He was a man of quiet strength, steady kindness, and enduring style—never without his signature Polo Ralph Lauren shirts, caps, or cologne.
Jose is survived by his loving wife, Imelda Jimenez; his son Joseph Jimenez and his wife, Lyndsey Jimenez, along with their daughter, his beloved granddaughter, Lyla Jimenez; and his daughter, Jamie Anido, and her husband, Brian Anido, together with their children, his cherished grandchildren, Brandon and Cameron Anido. He is also survived by his dear sisters, Emelita Broas and Teresita Trinidad; his sister-in-law, Amelia Jimenez; and many nieces and nephews who held him close to their hearts. He joins in eternal rest his brothers, Rolly Jimenez, Agustin Jimenez, and Ding Jimenez, as well as his parents. His legacy lives on most strongly in his children and grandchildren, who were his greatest joy.
Pa found happiness in the simple things—walking in the park, window shopping at the mall, or spending hours lovingly cleaning and detailing his car. He was deeply involved in the rhythm of home life: folding laundry with care, washing dishes without complaint, chopping vegetables just so, and cooking meals with heart. He especially loved babysitting his grandchildren, who brought him endless laughter, pride, and fulfillment. His family will forever remember how he made even daily routines feel like acts of love.
A man of many curiosities, he loved action and Western films, war documentaries, and Filipino comedies. He enjoyed YouTube videos—especially food blogs, car reviews, and Tagalog shows—and never missed his nightly and morning news. He delighted in cartoons, sci-fi, Disney favorites, and the newest Netflix releases, often sharing these small pleasures with his loved ones. He also loved watching sports on TV, whether it was basketball series, 49ers games, or Giants finals, always cheering with heart. He even shared a Facebook account with family, enjoying their photos and posts as a way to stay close and connected.
Above all, Jose will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His humor, gentleness, and sense of style will be missed dearly, but his love will continue to guide those who were blessed to know him.
