John Wojnowski

With heavy hearts and great sadness we announce the passing of John ‘Johnny’ Wojnowski at Grand River Hospital in Kitchener on August 6 2025.

Born July 1 1971 in Bridgeport. John is predeceased by his mother Diane and survived by his father Wally Wojnowski and Stepmom Peggy.

John leaves behind his soulmate Melissa Clayfield who was with him through all of life’s challenges until the very end. Cherished father of Tyler and step children William, Amanda and Courtney that he loved as his own. Deeply missed by his favourite child, Hank the frenchie.

John was loved by many siblings regardless of blood relation. Joe Wojnowski, Kerri Bell (Kevin), Robyn Leitch, Kathy Petersen, and Ken Petersen. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews especially Kendall Hunkeler and Jemma Fulford.

Forever remembered by many aunts uncles and cousins.

Blessed with the best friends a man could ask for in Joe Knetchel, and Danny and Carolyn Fulford.

John’s never ending love of Harleys gifted him with countless friends he loved to ride with, especially the Ghost Riders.

John had a lengthy health battle that greatly impacted his life over the last number of years. The family is very thankful to all the care he received at Grand River Hospital, especially in the dialysis unit.

All who loved John are trying to find solace in the fact that he is no longer in pain all whilst treasuring the numerous ways he made the most of his time here.

John’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 PM, on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Cremation will follow.
