Joan Pressburger

Joan Cohen Pressburger, nee Siegman, age 83 of Wayne, NJ passed away peacefully on July 8th, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Edward Cohen and Ernest Pressburger, loving and devoted Mother to Susan Fox nee Cohen (Carter Fox) and Lisa Brandwein nee Cohen (Michael Brandwein). Proud Grandmother of Brooke and Madison Fox, Ethan, Lila and Emma Brandwein; devoted daughter of the late Louis and Belle Siegman; cherished sister of Stephen Siegman (Elena); dear sister-in-law of Robert Cohen, the late Sheila Karner (Harold) and nephew, Mitch Karner, and treasured friend to many more.

Joan had a passion for education. As a teacher, she instilled these values in her children and grandchildren and had great pride in seeing them excel. She also loved spending time with friends and family, her home being the hub for many parties and get-togethers. She enjoyed music, theatre, art, and attending lectures on her many interests. Her Jewish identity was significant in all aspects of her life, she enjoyed volunteering at her synagogue, Temple Beth Tikvah, where she was a member for almost 50 years.

She is remembered by family and friends as a gentle, loving, caring, generous and beautiful woman. She will be greatly missed by all. May her memory be a blessing.
