Jesse Maldonado
- May 7, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jesus “Jesse” Maldonado of Greenfield, CA, who left us on Sunday, May 4, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Jesse was born in Guanajuato, Mexico, and immigrated to the United States as a young man. He and his family made their home in Harlingen, TX, before later settling in Soledad, CA. Jesse worked for many years at Firestone as a tire maker. After Firestone closed, that’s when Jesse began his journey in the construction industry, eager to learn and build a future. Alongside his father, Jesse took great pride in rebuilding and modernizing their family home in Soledad.
Throughout his career, Jesse worked on numerous projects, becoming a well-known and respected figure in the local construction community. He found his professional home with CHISPA Housing, where he oversaw a number of important projects throughout Monterey County. In recognition of his dedication and hard work, Jesse was honored with a street named after him—Maldonado Street in Greenfield, CA—where he took charge of the construction of homes on that very street.
In his later years, Jesse retired to enjoy the fruits of his labor, spending his time with his family and dreaming up new ideas for his beloved ranch.
Jesse was predeceased by his devoted wife, Belle Maldonado; his parents, Rito and Refugia Maldonado; and his siblings.
He is survived by his two sons, Ricardo Maldonado of Greenfield and Jesse Maldonado of Salinas. He is also lovingly remembered by his granddaughters, Stephanie Maldonado of Salinas and Brianna Maldonado of Greenfield, as well as his great-grandson, Lucas Maldonado. He is also survived by his sister, Lourdes Hernandez and numerous nieces and nephews
