Janet “Miki” Thiewes
Janet “Miki” Marie Thiewes, age 88, of Northfield, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at the Faribault Senior Living Center.
Born Janet Marie Heikkila on October 14, 1936, in Grand Rapids, she was the daughter of Eino and Mildred Heikkila. Miki enjoyed reading and traveling throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Thiewes, her parents, and her son, Kirk Thiewes.
Janet is survived by her sons, Scott (Lynn) Thiewes of Lino Lakes, and Eric (Amy Dougherty)Thiewes of Northfield. She is also survived by her two grandsons, Robert (and Sarah) Thiewes and Daniel Thiewes, and two great-granddaughters.
Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
