In Loving Memory of Jackie

“Do it with Passion or Not at All”

Jacqueline “Jackie” Minchuk, 72, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on August 25, 1953, in San Francisco, California, Jackie entered the world alongside her identical twin sister, Helene, to parents Harry and Rowena Greenberg. She grew up in the Bay Area with her twin and two older surviving sisters, Barbara and Shirley.

Jackie had a deep love for the ocean, animals, and people. An adventurous spirit from a young age, she enjoyed horseback riding, skiing, waterskiing, and traveling. In 1971, Jackie and her sister Helene were part of a 50-girl drill team that performed on the field during an Oakland Raiders game—just one example of her boldness and zest for life.

Her lifelong friends often described her as a “firecracker”—a loyal confidante, a great listener, and the sister they never had. She never missed a birthday card or special occasion and remained fiercely devoted to friendships that lasted decades.

Jackie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing from Arizona State University in 1978. She went on to build a remarkable 40-year career in marketing, serving as a Product Marketing Manager and National Sales Manager for leading companies. Her natural charisma, leadership, and work ethic left a lasting impression on every client, colleague, and executive she met—many of whom became lifelong friends.

Jackie was a devoted wife to Gene, her beloved husband of 43 years, and a dedicated mother to her two children, Michelle and Chris. Her pride and joy were her three grandchildren—Penelope, Cruz, and Sienna—whom she loved unconditionally. She never missed a milestone, game, school event, or celebration. Her family was her world.

In the last decade of her life, Jackie became an active and beloved member of the AA community. Over nine years of sobriety, she led meetings and became a powerful source of inspiration to many. Known to some as the “mother hen” and a radiant light in the group, Jackie welcomed newcomers with warmth and compassion. She offered unwavering support, especially during others’ darkest moments, and her check-in calls and unconditional encouragement changed lives. Her presence and legacy continue to shine in the hearts of all those she walked with on the path of sobriety.

Though she may no longer walk among us, Jackie’s legacy lives on in every life she touched. She will forever hold a place in our hearts and our journeys. We know she’s still watching over us—cheering us on with the same fierce love she always gave so freely.

Jackie lived by her motto:

“Do it with Passion or Not at All.”

And she did—every single day.
