Herbert Cohen

Herbert M Cohen, age 78, passed away on Aug 10th after a long brave fight. He was a loving husband, devoted father and brother, the best grandpa and a cherished and loyal friend to so many.

Born Nov 17, 1946 in Crown Heights Brooklyn, he was a graduate of Brooklyn College where he met his wife of 56 years, Arlene, at a school dance (his moves were impressive). He went on to earn his MBA at NYU and had a 33-year successful career as a VP of Finance at JP Morgan-Chase. After banking, he spent five years teaching middle school math before officially retiring.

Retirement brought lots of time for travel, bike riding, swimming, tennis, singing, bridge and spending time with family and friends.

He will be remembered for his love of detail, his warmth, his smile, his ability to talk to anyone and everyone and his endless commitment to those he loved.

He will be so missed.
