Happening today: Carson City Sheriff’s Office K9 Challenge at Fuji Park
The region’s best law enforcement K9 teams will have all paws to the ground — and sometimes in the air — in both competition and demonstrations today, Saturday, as the Carson City Sheriff’s Office hosts its 4th annual K9 Challenge at Fuji Park.
The family-friendly event is free and open to the public. Gates open at 9 a.m., and the event running from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Attendees will see:
- Exciting K9 competition and obstacle courses featuring law enforcement K9 teams from across the region
- Live demonstrations showcasing the incredible skills of K9 units
- On-Site food trucks and refreshments available for purchase.
- Exclusive K9 Challenge t-shirts and merchandise available for purchase
The K9 Challenge provides the community with a unique opportunity to witness the dedication, discipline and teamwork between law enforcement officers and their K9 partners, said CCSO Sgt. Nate Brehm. Come cheer on your local heroes and their four-legged partners as they demonstrate their abilities in competition.
