Guy Ricki “Rick” Shuck, of Wellington, Kansas, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 24, 2025 at his home at the age of 73.
Rick was born the son of Raymond and Joyce (Hecht) Shuck on March 29, 1952 in Greensburg, Kansas.
A creative spirit, Rick left an indelible mark on the world and the hearts of those who knew him. Rick was a man of many talents and interests, his creativity and love for life were evident in his hobbies and work. He dedicated much of his life to the BNSF Railroad before retiring to explore new adventures as a truck driver. Rick was well-known for his talent in sketching, his love for coffee, and his knack for working on innovative projects around the house. His thoughtful nature was evident in the gifts he gave his family, always knowing what they would love the most even without them asking for it.
Rick loved fishing out on the boat and was fondly remembered for his sweet tooth. Despite his initial resistance, he always participated in the family’s festive tradition of wearing matching Christmas PJs. His most cherished role was being a father and grandfather. His love for his family was immeasurable, and he found pure joy in being a supportive and encouraging figure to his children and particularly his grandchildren. Being a grandpa was his absolute favorite thing in the world and those were some of his happiest moments in life.
