Gregory Jackson Jr.

Gregory Jackson Jr.

Gregory was born in Wayne County on April 22, 1983, to Sandra Stokes and Gregory

Jackson. As the eldest of three children, he played a significant role in his family’s life. Tragically,

he departed from this world on Friday, April 11, 2025, at his home, leaving behind cherished

memories for those who loved him.

Gregory proudly completed his education in the Wayne County school system,

graduating from Southern Wayne High School in Dudley, North Carolina, as part of the Class of

2000. After graduation, he embraced various opportunities, gaining valuable experience in

painting and the food industry. Most recently, he found fulfillment in a role in security, where

his dedication and strong work ethic shone through. Gregory had a unique way of viewing life;

he often said, “I’ve got a whole lot of problems, but math isn’t one of them,” reflecting his

vibrant personality and ability to find humor even in challenging times.

He was preceded in death by his beloved Grandmother Brenda Super Vaughn and his

Grandmother Johnice Jackson, who both held a special place in his heart.

Gregory’s legacy will live on in the hearts of his loving family and friends. He is survived

by his mother, Sandra Stokes (married to James); his father, Gregory Jackson Sr. (married to

Crystal); his daughter, Zi Unique Jackson; and his son, Dai’ miere Mosley. He is also

remembered by his brother, Derrell Jackson; his sister, Gelisa Stringer (married to William); his

grandfather, Larry Vaughn; and his beloved niece and three nephews, along with a caring circle

of aunts, uncles, and friends. Although he is no longer with us, his spirit will continue to inspire

everyone who knew him.
