Gloria Machado
Gloria Jean Machado, aged 77, passed away on May 29, 2025 at Adventist Health Tulare, Ca surrounded by her family. Gloria was born on October 4, 1947 at East Tulare Hospital to Mary Dolores (Sotelo) and Arthur Machado. She was the first born of 5 children. She is survived by her spouse of 57 years Manuel Machado, her brother Daniel Machado, her son Brian (Kim) Machado, Deana (Ryan) Rowley and Stephanie (Michael) Davidson. She has 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She also has 5 step grandchildren, and 1 step great grand child whom she loved dearly.
She attended Roosevelt Elementary, Mulcahy Junior High School and graduated from Tulare Western High School in 1965 where she played the flute in the marching band. She earned her AA as a paralegal from COS in 1967. She enjoyed working for numerous attorneys including Bill Hahsey, Walter McCormick, Richard Isham and Rauber, Johnson and Black.
Gloria met her soulmate Manuel Machado at a wedding. They married on July 1, 1967 and shared a beautiful life together. They had their first child Richard Brian Machado, followed by their first daughter Deana (Rowley) 2 years later and Stephanie (Davidson) 4 years later.
Gloria was preceded in death by her father Arthur Machado, her mother Dolores Montoya, sister Roxanne Teal, brother Arthur (Butch) Machado, brother Michael Machado Sr and grandson Brandon Machado.
Gloria was a spunky, full-spirited, funny, loving, caring, vibrant, young 77 year old nurturing woman who will leave a void in this world and in our hearts. She and her husband loved to travel the world from the coast, to the mountains, to Spain, Italy and Portugal. Everywhere her and Manuel would go, they would meet new people. She loved to travel by car, train and plane. She loved to attend concerts. She was our roadrunner. We will miss her dearly. We love you to the moon and back mama bear!
Rosary will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025 at 6pm and funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 9am at St. Aloysius Church located at 125 East Pleasant Ave., Tulare, Ca.
