With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gilbert Caoile, husband, father, and grandfather, who passed away peacefully in Daly City on October 18, 2025, at the age of 89.
Gilbert was married for 60 years and a devoted husband to Letty and the proud father of four children – Eric, Binky, Marivic, and Joy. His love, guidance, and steady presence shaped the lives of his family and all who knew him. He was also a cherished grandfather to two grandchildren – Erica and Dante, who brought him endless joy and laughter.
Throughout his 89 years, Lingayen-born Gilbert worked as an accountant most of his life, first in Manila, then in Tokyo where he lived with his family for a few years. He was known for his vibrant personality, charm, kindness, humility, and humor. He will be remembered for the stories he shared, the relationships he built, his generosity and thoughtfulness.
He leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, and compassion — values that will continue to live on in those who were fortunate to know him.
A celebration of Gilbert’s life will be held in Daly City on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Duggan’s Mortuary followed by a reception closeby. His family invites friends and loved ones to honor his memory by cherishing time with their families and carrying forward his spirit of love and generosity.
Gilbert is preceded in death by his son, Eric, and son-in-law, Drew. He is survived by his wife, daughters, and grandchildren. Forever in our hearts, Gilbert will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
