Geraldine Newman

Geraldine Rolman Newman, age 88, of Manchester, TN, passed from this life Monday, September 15, 2025, in Colorado Springs, CO.

Ms. Newman was born in Awalt, TN, to her late parents Joseph C. Rolman and Nina C. Hill Rolman. She was a loving grandmother and mother that will be dearly missed. She worked as an educator for 26 years, having taught at Hillsboro Elementary School for most of her career. Education was a very important part of her life. Ms. Newman also worked for the Department of Human Services for 10 years. She was a devout Christian and member of Lincoln Heights Baptist Church and loved being involved with her church. Ms. Newman helped with Meals on Wheels numerous times and in her free time, she enjoyed travelling when she could.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Carrie “Allene” Syler and Martha Sutton; brother, Marvin “Buck” Rolman.

Ms. Newman is survived by sons, Greg Newman and Kevin Newman (Rebecca); brother, David Rolman; grandchildren, Andrew Newman (Tiffany), Kevin Newman Jr., Kristina Newman, and Haley Newman (Sidney); great grandchildren, Drew Newman, Aurora Newman, and Dray Newman.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 29, 2025, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm with funeral services following at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Central Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tullahoma, TN.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
