Frederick “Rick” Greb

Frederick “Rick” H. Greb, 79, of Whitehall, died peacefully at home, with his family by his side, Friday May 16, 2025. He was the husband of Judith R. (Horvath) and would have celebrated 54 years of marriage together this year. Born in Whitehall, he was a son of the late Ignatz and Emma (Pammer) Greb.

Rick was a graduate of Whitehall High School. He worked for over 30 years as a shop steward for Pabst Brewery in Fogelsville. After retiring from the brewery, he opened his own barbershop and ran his business for 15 years. Rick also loved trips to the shore, camping and traveling. 

Above all, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be missed by many. 

Surviving along with his wife Judy, are his daughter Donna Unger and husband John, son Scott Kunkel and wife Michelle, daughter Christine Ziegler, 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, sister Veronica Tretter and husband Robert, brother Walter Greb and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Richard.

His calling period will be held from 9-10am Friday May 23, 2025, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 4 S.5th Street, Coplay, PA 18037. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10am on Friday at the church. Interment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. of Coplay is honored to handle the arrangements.
