Frank Jacobs

Frank William Jacobs, age 91, of Summitville, TN, passed from this life Thursday, October 9, 2025, at his residence.

Mr. Jacobs was born in Summitville, TN, to his late parents Ross Frizzell Jacobs and Ida Jeretha Roberts Jacobs. He was the owner and operator of Jacobs Well Drilling for 67 years. In his free time, Mr. Jacobs enjoyed watching baseball, football, and girl’s fast pitch softball. He also enjoyed reading history books, especially anything dealing with WWII. In his younger years, Mr Jacobs also enjoyed rabbit hunting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nan B. Norton Jacobs; grandson, Jacob Duane Teal; siblings, John Jacobs, James Jacobs, Ross Jacobs, Marth Jo Brown, Bobbie Grissom, and Reba Lafevers.

Mr. Jacobs is survived by a son, John William (Patricia) Jacobs; daughter, Kelly Lynne Jacobs (Gary) Teal; sister, Wilma McAfee; grandchildren, Jamie Teal, John Phillip Teal, Sarah Teal Wells (Josh), and Patrick John Ross Jacobs; great grandchildren, Addison Teal, Micah and Sydney Wells; special friend of the family, Randy (Sheila) Haley and their children, Sierra Haley and Frank Haley.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and again Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Funeral services will be held following visitation Wednesday at 2:00pm in the chapel of Central Funeral Home with Alan Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Summitville Cemetery in Coffee Co.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or the Sportsman and Businessman Charitable Organization.
