Frances Wilson

Frances E. Wilson, 84, of Williamsville, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Villa Healthcare East in Sherman. She was born February 1, 1941, in Springfield, the daughter of Homer W. and Bertha Frances (Krebs) Richards. She married Albert Wilson on March 26, 1960, and he preceded her in death on August 11, 2023.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Wanda O’Brien.

Survivors include three sons, Albert (Susan) Wilson, Jr. of Williamsville, Daniel (Linda) Wilson of Florida and John (Lori) Wilson of Florida; seven grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Frances was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Church in Springfield. She graduated from Ursuline Academy. She worked for the State of Illinois and was a cook for Williamsville Schools. Frances enjoyed playing bingo and the occasional trip to the dollar store.

Visitation: 9:00 – 10:30 am, Monday, October 20, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home – Sherman.

Funeral Service: 10:30 am, Monday, October 20, 2025, at Staab Funeral Home – Sherman, with Reverend Fredrick Chima Mbiere officiating. A burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery
