Felicito Medalla Ting Petilos passed away on May 9, 2025, in Alameda, California, at the age of 88.

Born on September 20, 1936, to Felix and Juanita Petilos, Felicito pursued a strong academic path. He studied at Dominican School in Cebu City, St. Paul College, and San Jose de Recoletos. He earned both a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Commerce. Demonstrating exceptional dedication, he was able to pass two subjects of the Philippines CPA exam.

While working in Manila, Felicito met his future wife, Araceli Abad, who was working as a secretary. Together they built a family that includes their daughter Beverly and granddaughter Kimberly. Felicito assumed a fatherly role to Florisa and Raccine.

Felicito’s professional life was marked by versatility and commitment. In Manila, he worked as a cashier and real estate agent before becoming a manager at Epoxy Corporation. After migrating to the United States to join his wife, he held positions at Oakland Airport as a TSA agent, Brinks as a money counter, and later returned to Epoxy Manufacturing as an import-export assistant.

A devout Catholic, Felicito was deeply involved in church life. He volunteered at Holy Cross Church in Manila and served Longos Church as a lector and commentator, often celebrating street masses and bringing communion to the homebound. In the U.S., he continued his service at St. Barnabas Church beginning in 1997. He was also a proud Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

Felicito found joy in jai-alai, bowling, horse racing, and dancing. His warmth extended beyond familyhe maintained close ties with clergy and played a supportive role in helping Father Roy pursue his vocation.
