Julie, Nancy, Nene, and Myrna. Fond aunt of many. Affectionately known as Ate Linda by

friends, the church choir, and members of the local, Filipino, and Fatima communities.

Linda was born on December 15, 1945, and grew up in Laguna, Philippines. She earned her

Bachelor of Science in Finance from JRC College in Mandaluyong, Manila. She later married

and raised five sons in Las Piñas, where she also began her ministry work, directing the youth

choir and serving in the Church.

In the 1990s, Linda migrated to the U.S. and settled in the Niles, IL neighborhood.

She quickly became involved in her local Catholic community, where she resumed her passion

for serving the Lord. She joined the church choir and eventually became the Director of Music at

Our Lady of Ransom Church in Niles, IL, forming deep friendships and becoming well-known in

the Filipino community. She later became the Filipino choir directress at Saint John Brebeuf

Parish, also in Niles.

Linda loved going to church, leading the choir, and serving her parish. Her unwavering

commitment to church music was a source of great joy. Above all, she cherished the time spent
