Eppie Sisneros, 65, of Gothenburg, NE, passed away August 9, 2025, in Lincoln, NE.
Eppie was born in Cozad, NE, to Paul and Lena (Morales) Sisneros.
A 1978 graduate of Gothenburg High School, Eppie later earned his Associate of Applied Science from Central Community College in Grand Island, NE in 1990. He went on to build a 34-year career with KN Energy through its many iterations, where he was universally well liked by his colleagues.
Eppie loved the Huskers, the Steelers, The Eagles (the band, not the football team), a good scoop of ice cream, and inserting contextually appropriate song lyrics into conversations.
Family trips to Estes Park were among his most treasured experiences, especially with his daughters. He loved driving down old Willow Road, listening to The Eagles. In his younger, wilder years Eppie lived briefly in Arizona and Wyoming and loved traveling to Montana with his friends (and one mannequin).
He will be missed by his three daughters, Katie, Shaye and Jessie Sisneros; his partner Donica Williams and her children, Presley and Carter; his siblings: Anthony (Lorraine) Sisneros of Mora, NM; Carmen (Steve) Kramer of Grand Island, NE; Carol (Gary) Darling of Bryan, TX; and Pearl (Glenn) Johnson of Lincoln, NE. Eppie’s closest and oldest friends—Pat, Deb, Rick, and Jeff—were happy to regale his daughters with the sorts of stories probably best not shared with his daughters.
Once his daughters grew, Eppie loved spending more time with his nieces, nephews, and their children, building relationships and making memories with the younger generations of his family across the country.
Eppie requested a simple Celebration of Life with friends and family, to be held at a later date.
“So put me on a highway / Show me a sign / Take it to the limit / One more time.”
