ELSA NUNLEY

Elsa Lenia Johnson Nunley, 85, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025 at her daughter’s residence in Winter Park, Florida.

A native and lifelong resident of Palatka, Elsa was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt who loved her family and enjoyed life. She was a devout Lutheran and a devoted Christian.

Besides her parents, Adolf Henry Johnson and Zenobia W. Boyd Johnson, Elsa was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lee Nunley; a son, Keith H. Nunley; and two sisters, Karin Ellen Bohannon and Martha Lou Zetrouer.

Survivors include a son, Charles Bradford Nunley (Laura Suzanne); three daughters, Winnona M. Grabe (Richard), Laura J. Nunley, and Ellen L. Beach (Alan); a daughter-in-law, Mechele Nunley; ten grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Masters Funeral Home in Palatka with Pastor John Cameron officiating. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m.—an hour before the start of the service. Burial will follow in San Mateo Cemetery.
