Eleanor (Malison) Paff

Eleanor Marie (nee Malison) Paff was born to Oliver and Mabel (Balts) Malison on July 23rd, 1940, her husband’s birthday.

Eleanor began her life on the family farm in the Town of Arthur. She attended a one-room school and graduated from Cadott High School in 1958.

After graduation she worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital and then on to Mason Shoe Office Complex. She met her husband while working there. It was a “blind date” arranged by a brother-in-law. That blind date lasted 63 years. They were married on June 10th, 1961.

Two years after marriage they adopted a son and two years later a daughter. Tom and Diane were in Elementary School when she started working at the Middle School for 25 years.

After retiring she never stopped, she knitted hats for students, was a Bible/Sunday School Teacher, a volunteer for St. Joseph’s Hospital Hospice Office, a pianist/organist for church and taught classes at the Chippewa County Jail.

Eleanor is survived by her husband Gerald; a son Tom (Kathy LaRose), a daughter Diane (Rick Bradley); six grandchildren TJ, Nick (LeAnna), Danielle (David), Patrick (Alexandra), Savannah and Alexander; Twelve great grandchildren Megan, Kiley, LaKota, Osmond, Solomon, Kyler, Jadyn, Ellowyn, Jackson, Lennox, Elliott and Claire.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a great grandchild Kadyn Nolan; five brothers Elward, Charles, George, Wilfred and Irwin; two sisters Imogene Lots and Edna Emerson; five sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 17th, 2025 at Central Lutheran Church 28 E. Columbia St. Chippewa Falls, WI. with Pastor Aaron Sturgis officiating.

A Memorial Visitation will be from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM Saturday morning at the church
