Donald Masserang

Donald Walter Masserang, age 75, of Tecumseh, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, under the compassionate care of Hospice of Lenawee.

Born on October 7, 1950, in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, Don was the son of Leo and Marion (Sanders) Masserang. He graduated from Grosse Pointe South High School and went on to attend Eastern Michigan University, where he earned a master’s degree.

Don dedicated his professional life to education as a special education teacher within the Macomb Intermediate School District. His commitment to supporting students with unique learning needs left a lasting impact on those he taught and worked alongside.

Outside of his career, Don found joy in a variety of hobbies. He had a deep appreciation for bonsai tree gardening and spent many hours volunteering at Hidden Lake Gardens. He also enjoyed woodworking and was an avid fan of Detroit sports teams.
