David Combs

Dave has gone to join Shirley, his loving wife for 59 years. Born June 28, 1935, to Charles and Jontie Combs in Hominy, OK, he passed away June 20, 2025.   He was the last of 8 brothers and sisters.  

Loving father of Mark (Lisa) Combs, Ellianna (AJ) Javed.  Proud grandfather “Bumpa” of Kyle, Isaac, Alleaha, Ryan, and Luke.  

Dave was a US Navy Veteran, a DK3 on the USS Vesole from 1955-1957, and graduated from Central State College in Oklahoma in 1960.  He was employed for many years by Max Factor cosmetics where he started as a salesman and continued to progress in the company- ultimately achieving the role of VP of Sales.  Dave left Max Factor and joined Mattel Electronics as their Director of N.W. Sales for several years until he entered into real estate.  When Dave retired, he enjoyed working as a Ranger/Starter at Palatine Hills Golf Club.  This was the role he loved the most and made several friends at the golf course.  

Dave had a full life.  The years with Shirley were the ones that he always treasured the most as they provided him with his family and grandchildren.
