David Barker
David Ray Barker, age 88 of Yorkville, IL passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 25, 1937 in Milford, NE the son of David Roy and Ruth (Burgess) Barker.
David was united in marriage on August 18, 1962 in Grand Island, NE to the former Miss Dianne Martin and they spent the next 63 years happily together. Mr. Barker is a proud Veteran of the United States Army. David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
David is survived by his wife, Dianne Barker of Yorkville, IL; his children, Lori (Joe) Bednar of Suffern, NY, Ronald (Kathy) Barker of Avon Lake, OH, and Michael (Jen) Barker of Oswego, IL; his grandchildren, Heather (Andrew) Fletcher, Brad (Leah) Barker, Audrey Bednar, Luke Bednar, Cullen Barker, and Rowan Barker; his great-grandchildren, Caroline Barker, Isaiah Barker, Silas Fletcher, and Shiloh Fletcher; his brothers, Ronald Barker and Jim Barker; also several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Ruth Barker; also his sister, Ardis Holst.
A Private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
