Clayton Condit
- May 22, 2025

Clayton H. Condit, a beacon of unwavering love and wisdom, departed from this world on May 16, 2025, in Phoenix, AZ, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and dedicated service. Born on March 19, 1928, in Clatsup Plains, OR, he embarked on a path that would be marked by compassion and leadership.
Clayton was a cherished husband to his beloved wife, Joann Condit, and a guiding light to his daughters, Jennifer Montgomery, Laurie Frank and Tearo Lee (Missie) Condit. His joy was multiplied by his adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his lessons of love. Preceded in death by his daughter, Tearo Condit, and his parents, Win and Pearl Condit, Clayton’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort and strength to his family.
His commitment to his education and faith was evident in his educational pursuits, as he studied finance at the University of San Francisco. Later, as he served as a Minister for the Community of Christ he furthered his education by studying language at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, San Jose State, Indiana University and the Language Institute of Mexico City. His spirit of giving extended well beyond the pulpit; Clayton was an enthusiastic volunteer at a local Phoenix hospital and was honored for the thousands of hours he dedicated to helping others. His service transcended borders through his involvement with the Lions Club of Tahiti and his role as an interpreter for the President of the International Lions Club.
An avid sports fan, Clayton found joy in playing and watching golf, and he remained a steadfast supporter of his favorite football teams—from his San Francisco 49ers to later cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs. Traveling with his “Jody” was among his greatest pleasures. Together, they built a treasury of memories across the world.
Clayton Condit’s passion for life was matched by a deep love for his family, whom he cherished wholeheartedly. A man of profound kindness and wisdom, he touched the lives of many and his influence will continue to ripple through the many hearts he warmed. Contributions in his honor to HealthEd Connect reflect the benevolence that defined his remarkable journey.
