Claudette Hansen
Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Claudette, after struggling with health challenges for the past two years, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, August 2, 2025.
She was a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She faithfully fulfilled her callings; she served as a ward librarian for many, many years and loved to attend the temple.
Everyone who knew Claudette, knew she did things on her own terms and did not like to be fussed over. She went above and beyond for her family and friends. She was an avid gardener and loved being outdoors. She took great pride in gardening and harvesting the fruits of her labor. Not being able to go outside and enjoy gardening for the past few years was one of the many things she struggled to accept. Another was leaving her beloved cats when she moved in with her daughter a few months ago. Claudette loved her cats and had many over the years but was especially doting on the cats that she brought inside to live with her the past few years.
We will all remember her telling us that “something worth doing is worth doing well.” She followed this saying her whole life in everything she did. She worked very hard and long hours both at home and outside the home at various jobs over the years. She was the glue that held our home and family together. We miss you so much, Mom.
Claudette was preceded in death by her husband, Kay, and their daughters, Wendie Kaye (Adams) and Karilynn (Berriel) and we know there is a joyous reunion in heaven with them as well as her parents, siblings and other loved ones that have passed on before. She is survived by three children: son, Corey Russell Hansen, daughter, Stacey Lea (Ottesen), and son, Bryce Leon Hansen; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren (and all her indoor cats were adopted out which made her very happy).
A Viewing will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Utah Valley Mortuary located at 1966 W 700 N, Lindon, Utah. Graveside Services will follow at 11:30 am at the Lindon City Cemetery.
