Cecil Moyer

Cecil Marion Moyer, age 78, of Osage Beach, Missouri passed away on September 26, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 10, 1947, in Moorhead, Minnesota; a son of Cecil and Muriel (Thorson) Moyer.

After graduating from Rancho Alamitos High School in Garden Grove, California in 1965, he joined the United States Air Force in 1966. He served his country honorably and was discharged in 1970.

In March of 1976, Cecil married the love of his life Kathleen Duncan in Las Vegas, Nevada. They shared 49 wonderful years together. Over the years he worked for Midland Transportation company and for Mid-Missouri Oil Company before retiring in 2011. Cecil loved music, reading, snow skiing, motorcycling, Photography, Computers and Technology. Cecil’s great joy and passion in his life was spending time with his family.

Cecil was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Cecil is survived by his wife, Kathy Moyer; his children Sean Moyer (Leah), Matthew Moyer (Michele), Holly Peck (Mark); his grandchildren Christian Honts, Madeline Moyer, Violet Peck, Samuel Peck, Finn Moyer; his sisters Val Rae Vigesaa and Suzanne Baptiste; other relatives and many friends.  

Cecil was preceded by parents Cecil and Muriel Moyer.

Friends will be received from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Home Osage Beach. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm, Friday, October 3, 2025, at Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Home Osage Beach.

Burial will be at Lake Memorial Gardens in Osage Beach, Missouri.
