Carson Senators Cycling clinch second at the Tahoe Donner Dash
- October 22, 2025

The Senators wrapped up the northern Nevada mountain bike season on Sunday, racing to second place at the Tahoe-Donner Dash and clinching second in the final team standings for 2025.
Following gutty performances by top point-getters Riley Kuhlman (3rd, varsity girls), Lily Beardsley (2nd, level 4 girls), and varsity boys Devon Granata (3rd), Kaiden Kuhlman (8th), and Sylis Chalmers (10th) the team matched last year’s overall second place result in the final team standings category.
Adeline Jensick had an outstanding day of racing arriving at the line in fourth among the level 4 girls and earning her first trip to the podium.
Jax and Evie Huntington continued their strong seasons with Jax finishing second in the level 5 boys category and Evie racing to third in the level 3 girls category. Based on her finish in the championship race, Evie collected the highest cumulative point total for the level 3 girls and donned the 2025 champion jersey!
Max Giurca finished the level 1 boys race in second place which earned him fifth in the overall season standings. Syrae Lenz (level 2) and Clara Morway (level 1) both finished fifth on Sunday and secured fifth for the final overall season standings in their respective categories.
Brooke Landis (JV girls), Nikki Lawlor (level 4 girls), Maddy Cranston (level 3 girls), and Ben Winbigler (level 1 boys) all contributed top-10 finishes on Sunday.
The Senators finish the 2025 race series with a number of racers on the podium for the overall season standings which is based on the number of points racers collect at each race.
In addition to the final overall standings noted above for the middle school racers (Evie, Syrae, Clara, and Max), the Senators also saw high schoolers Riley Kuhlman (2nd overall, varsity girls), Lily Beardsley (3rd overall, level 4 girls), Devon Granata (2nd overall, varsity boys), and Jax Huntington (2nd overall, level 5 boys) wrap up their 2025 campaigns on the podium for the overall season standings.
This season, the Senators were led by five seniors. Seven-year vets Sylis Chalmers, Liam Kenison, and Kaiden Kuhlman joined the Senators in 2019 as 6th graders.
Devon Granata wrapped up his fifth year on the team, including his third season riding in the demanding varsity category. The Senators were excited to have first year racer Ryder Beardsley join the team at the start of his senior year.
The Senators will get rolling again in July of 2026. You can catch them at the Nevada Day parade on November 1st and more information at SenatorsCycling.org.
