Carson Montessori and Station 52 spice things up at Annual Chili Cook-Off
- October 17, 2025

The smell of warm chili filled the air at Carson Montessori this week during the school’s Annual Chili Cook-Off, a favorite event made even better by the return of the firefighters from Station 52, who served as this year’s official judges.
Each class brought the heat (literally!), cooking up their own chili recipe to be judged on taste, texture, and spiciness. The firefighters from Station 52 were up to the challenge and happily sampled every bowl.
Kindergarten came out on top, winning the Chili Cook-Off Trophy with their teacher’s special recipe that impressed the judges. Upper Elementary took second place and proudly accepted the fun and silly Beanie Weenie Can Trophy.
This year also included a fun new twist, a Table Decorating Contest. Each class showed off their creativity with colorful and themed displays. Kindergarten took first place again with their bright sunflower table, while 1st and 2nd grade weren’t far behind with their own fun designs.
The weather was sunny and just right, giving the whole school a chance to enjoy chili outside, check out the decorated tables, and celebrate together.
Big thanks to Fire Station 52 for joining us and making this event extra special. We’re already looking forward to next year with more chili, more decorations, and more fun!
