Carson City, Nev. (Aug. 27, 2025) — The Carson High School Girls Varsity Volleyball team served up an outstanding performance at the annual Yerington Invitational this past weekend, earning the first-place trophy for the third consecutive year. The tournament hosts 32 teams from across Northern Nevada and California.

Carson High posted an impressive 8–0 record throughout the tournament, culminating in a championship match victory over Spanish Springs High School. The Senators also claimed the tournament title in both 2023 and 2024, defeating McQueen High School in back-to-back finals.

Seniors Abby Franco and Cali Stagliano, along with junior Julie Salanoa, have been part of all three championship rosters. Franco, team captain, returns this season as the reigning 5A Northern Player of the Year. She aims to lead the team through another successful and competitive season, with sights set on a strong playoff run. The team is led by Head Coach Brittany Witter and Assistant Coach Maddie Hull-Taylor.
