Nearly 150 students, parents and families gathered for the Carson High School – Silver Campus Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) Association Initiation and Installation ceremony, where approximately 40 JAG students pledged to uphold the core principles of the JAG program. During the event, four JAG officers took an oath to serve their chapter with integrity and dedication.
The JAG program is designed to ensure students are not only prepared to graduate, but are also equipped with the skills, knowledge and experiences necessary for success after high school. Whether pursuing higher education, entering the workforce or exploring other post-graduation paths, JAG students gain the confidence and capabilities to thrive.
In attendance to support and recognize the students as they crossed the stage were Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong, School Board President Lupe Ramirez, Carson High School Principal Dan Carstens, Carson High Vice Principal Sue Moulden, Carson High School Silver Campus JAG Specialist Keli Stokes, Superintendent Andrew Feuling, JAG Assistant State Director Mathew Stallworth and JAG Program Manager Kristel Galarce.
Jobs for America’s Graduates is a national nonprofit organization committed to empowering young people through career readiness training, mentorship, leadership development and hands-on learning opportunities. By providing this strong foundation, JAG helps students chart a successful future in college, career and life.
