Carson City’s Catmandu introduces their Cat of the Week: Olive

When Olive arrived at Catmandu, she was barely hanging on. At just six weeks old, she had crusted-over eyes, dark urine from dehydration, and no energy to lift her
head—only enough to roll and cry in pain.

Her foster feared she might not make it. But Olive? She had other plans. After fluids, antibiotics, homeopathy and being wrapped in gentle love, this little fighter pulled through.

Today, she is a thriving five-month-old with one eye and the heart of a lioness.

Her enucleation (eye removal) helped relieve the last of her pain, and her recovery has been nothing short of inspiring.

Her remaining eye may be cloudy, but that doesn’t stop her. She confidently explores her surroundings and scales baby gates like a pro, especially if there’s a dog on the other side.

Olive likes other cats but she loves dogs and chooses them as her nap buddies whenever she can.

She’s goofy, sweet, playful, loving and hilariously bold, even if she takes a moment to warm up to new people. Once she trusts you, she gives full-body kitten hugs, loud purrs, and endless love.

Olive is available for adoption and she’s hoping to find a home with a cat-friendly dog, adventure, affection, and maybe a few baby gates to climb. If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly companion with a whole lot of character, Olive is perfect for you.

Spayed and up-to-date on her vaccines, she is ready and waiting for her perfect family.

We are open for adoptions Friday – Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm,. We ask potential adopters to arrive no later than 3 pm.
