Carson City Symphony opens 42nd season Sunday, October 26

The Carson City Symphony, conducted by Music Director David Bugli and Assistant Conductor Brian Fox, will open its 42nd season on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., with a concert at the Carson City Community Center’s Bob Boldrick Theater, 851 E. William Street in Carson City.
Pre-show entertainment by the Carson High Chamber Orchestra conducted by Brian Fox begins at 3:00 p.m. in the lobby.
A concert preview with conductor David Bugli, composer Adrienne Albert, and soloist Jon Bhatia begins at 3:15 p.m. in the Bob Crowell Board Room.
Tickets are $18 general admission; $15 for seniors, students, and Symphony Association members; and free for youth age 18 and under. Tickets are on sale onlineor at the door.
“Flex” tickets at discounted prices are also available at CCSymphony.com. During the week before the concert, blood donors at Vitalant–Carson City may receive a complimentary ticket to the concert.
A dinner reception with the soloist after the concert will be at El Charro Avitia Mexican Restaurant. This no-host reception is open to performers and audience. To reserve a place notify the Symphony at 775-883-4154 or email carsoncitysymphony@gmail.com if you plan to attend.
Jon Bhatia is the Lecturer of Music in Trumpet at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Music, a founding member of the internationally recognized chamber ensemble Alias Brass, the Second Trumpet of the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra, and a Yamaha Performing Artist and Educator. He has performed at prestigious venues worldwide, earned recognition as a prizewinner at the International Prize Competition in Tuscany, Italy, and is a recording artist featured on National Public Radio and heard in films and radio.
