Carson City Arrests: DUI, revoked license, warrants

Suspected DUI
A 57-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday morning for suspected DUI.
The reporting party called in a welfare check on a man attempting to drive his vehicle with two flat tires in the parking lot of a business located on the 300 block of highway 50.
Deputies arrived on scene to find the man in the driver’s seat with the keys in the ignition and the vehicle in drive.
According to the arrest report, deputies asked if he was okay, but he did not answer.
Deputies reported the man kept attempting to turn the vehicle’s engine on, and was told to stop.
The man was asked to exit the vehicle and appeared disoriented. Deputies stated in the report they were unclear if he was intoxicated or having a medical emergency, and advised dispatch to have medical evaluate him.
While waiting for medics to arrive, the man was unable to maintain balance and had the smell of alcohol emitting from his persons. When asked by deputies how much he had to drink, he allegedly said he had had a lot, and that it was whiskey he had been drinking.
When medics arrived on scene they determined he was medically fine but appeared to be highly intoxicated. According to the arrest report, deputies then conducted a field sobriety test and preliminary breathalyzer test which resulted in a .263 BAC.

Driving with revoked license
Thursday morning deputies conducted a traffic stop and record check that returned a suspended registration on a green sedan belonging to 28-year-old Carson City man.
According to the arrest report, the sole occupant of the car told deputies he did not have current insurance on the car, and was advised by the DMV that he could not obtain his drivers license until January of 2026.
When asked for his driver’s license, he handed the deputy a Nevada identification card.
Deputies then ran a record check on the man’s driver’s license returned revoked for first violation of Ignition Interlock Device.
In the report, deputies asked if he currently had an Ignition Interlock Device in his car to which he responded no and was placed under arrest.

Warrant arrests
A 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Thursday morning for alleged violation of suspended sentence.
The deputy on patrol spotted the man and another subject sitting outside a business on the 1600 block of William Street.
According to the arrest report, the deputy made consensual contact with the man who appeared to be highly intoxicated.
The deputy ran his name and date of birth where dispatched advised he had a confirmed warrant out of the Carson City Justice Court for violation of suspended sentence.
Deputies then placed the man under arrest and later performed a preliminary breath test which he consented to, that returned a .432 BAC.
Bail: $3,000
A 47-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Thursday morning for an outside agency warrant during a traffic stop.
According to the arrest report, the man allegedly ran the stop sign at Spear St. and Curry St. and was pulled over by the patrolling deputy.
Both occupants of the vehicle provided their driver’s license and were run through dispatch.
Dispatch confirmed that the man returned an arrest warrant from Douglas County. No additional information about the warrant was provided in the report.
The man was placed under arrest and transported to the Carson City jail without incident.
Bail: $2,000
