Barry Miller

Barry J. Miller, 81, of Valley Township, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at his daughter’s home in Kennett Square.

He was the beloved husband of Linda Kazman Miller, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia, Barry was the son of the late Benjamin and Ione Komer Miller.

He was a 1962 graduate of Northeast High School and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from Temple University.

He worked as a statistician for the Department of Defense for over 40 years.

He also proudly served in the U.S. Armed Forces as a Reservist.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, he was a proud supporter of all Philadelphia teams, especially the Eagles and Phillies. One of his most cherished memories was being present for the winning game of the 2008 World Series with his son, Chad.

He had a passion for staying active and spent many happy hours on the golf course and pickleball court. He also loved to travel with his family.

Of all his roles in life, perhaps his favorite was being a “Pop-Pop.” He had a special gift for connecting with his grandchildren, bringing laughter and fun into every moment they shared.

Known for his infectious laugh and kind heart, he brought joy and warmth to all who knew him. In addition to his wife, Barry will be deeply missed by his daughter, Carrie Miller Baichi and her husband, Matt; son, Chad Miller and his fiancé, Natasha Coulter; brother, Neil Miller (Karen); grandchildren, Ava, Lila, Cole, Chase, Killian, Willow and Halina; several nieces and nephews; and his best friend of over 76 years, Michael Sherman.

A service will be held at 12 noon on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at the Valley Township location of the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 1060 W. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville, PA 19320.
