Barbara Esposito

Barbara Lucille Esposito (née Pasquariello) was born on August 5, 1939, in Newark, New Jersey, to Josephine and Arthur Pasquariello. Raised alongside her beloved brother Leon on the scenic shores of New Jersey, Barbara grew up proud of her Italian-American heritage, the third generation in a family deeply rooted in tradition, love, and resilience.

Barbara met and married the love of her life, Nicholas “Butch” Esposito on January 13th, 1962.

Together they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, good food, and devotion to family. They were blessed with two wonderful sons, Nicholas and Jeffrey—her pride and joy. Her family continued to grow with the marriages of her sons to Natalie and Sonia, and the arrival of her cherished grandchildren, Sydney and Steven. She adored them with all her heart and never missed an opportunity to boast about their accomplishments and share her love.

A devout Catholic, Barbara lived her faith through kindness, generosity, and unwavering strength. She had a sharp wit and a quick sense of humor, always ready with a joke or a warm smile. Her kitchen was the heart of every home she lived in, where she mastered the art of Italian cooking—often hosting unforgettable dinners and holidays surrounded by the people she loved most.

Barbara had a deep love for travel, especially to Italy, where she attended culinary school and connected even more deeply with her roots. She also found great joy in returning to New Jersey to visit lifelong friends and family and cherished the incredible friendships she built in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Loyal, loving, and full of life, Barbara will be remembered for her spirited nature, deep devotion to her family, and the joy she brought to every room she entered. Her love lives on in the legacy of family she built and the memories she gifted us all.

She is reunited in heaven with her parents, Josephine and Arthur, and her brother Leon—wrapped in love and peace.

Barbara’s strength, warmth, and laughter will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered always.
