Barbara Jean “Jeanie” Cantieri

Barbara Jean “Jeanie” Cantieri, 88, of Cotati, California, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 25th, 2025, at her home, surrounded by family.

Born in San Rafael, California, on October 24th, 1936, to parents Helen and Amerigo “Kelly” Giambastiani of Inverness, California, Jeanie graduated from Tomales High School, class of 1954. She married her life-long husband, Irwin Cantieri, in 1955, and together, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with friends and family on January 18th, 2025. Through the course of her life, she loved playing tennis, visiting with friends and cherishing her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jeanie was preceded in death by her husband, Irwin. She is survived by her son, Lawrence Cantieri, and his wife, Pamela, of Novato, California, daughter, Sharon Devereaux, and her husband, Dwight, of Oakdale, California, and her son, Daniel Cantieri, and his wife, Sylvia, of Riverdale, California, thirteen grandchildren and thirty-eight great-grandchildren.

A private family interment is planned at Valley Memorial Park in Novato, CA.
