Anthony S. “Tony” Cafariella, 86, of Madison Twp. died July 5, 2025 at his home following an extended illness. His wife of 65 years is Elyse L. (Kersbergen).

Born July 25, 1938 in Long Island City, NY, he was the son of the late Anthony L. and Nancy (Suppa) Cafariella. Tony was an Army veteran serving with the Army Reserves in the 1960’s. For most of his working career he was self employed as a plumbing and heating contractor in Long Island, NY. Tony was a member of the Daleville United Methodist Church and Moscow Lodge No. 504 Free and Accepted Masons.

Tony was a loving husband, father and grandfather known for his quick wit, humor and engaging demeanor. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Wayne A. Cafariella and wife Valerie of Melbourne, FL, Cherilyn Lou Mazzarella, and husband Nicholas of Selden, NY, and Glenn Scott Cafariella of Garden City, NY; six grandchildren: Wayne A. Cafariella Jr. and wife Fran, Christie Jones and husband Ian, Lindsay Cafariella, Jordan Cafariella, Samantha Mooney and husband Nicholas, and Cayla Mazzarella; two great-grandchildren: Coral Mae Cafariella, and Mason Cafariella; his sister: Nancy Vanderhoff of Williamsburg, VA and nieces and nephews.

Tony was preceded in death by his sister Linda L. Simek.

Masonic funeral rites, prayers and military honors will be conducted at Duffy & Snowdon Funeral Home, 401 Church Street, Moscow, PA. on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 12:30 p.m.
