Annie Lopez
Annie Elizabeth Lopez was born on April 30, 1948 to Magdaleno Lopez and Rita Padilla in Gallup, NM. She was reunited with her loving parents on September 4, 2025.
She is preceded in death by her son William Edward Sanchez Jr.; brothers, Robert Lopez and Moggie Lopez Jr; sisters, Betty Baca and Cora Lopez.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Rita (Angel Gonzalez) Sanchez and Edwena Sanchez; sisters, Adeline Noriega, Josephine Gonzalez, Judy Christian, Diane Lopez, Rosie Montano; special nephew Ernest Madrid; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
Annie was a caring and giving person. She always made sure that everyone had what they needed. She took in everyone and treated them as family. She was the most amazing mom and grandma. The best that anyone could ask for! She loved all of her children, grandchildren and family with her whole heart. She loved her AA family and was a dedicated sponsor to many. Annie planned all holiday dinners around the AA meetings.
She is remembered for pinching cheeks, either set. Her favorite sayings were “Hallelujah – Praise the Lord” and “The devil doesn’t want me and God isn’t ready for me.”
Annie will forever be loved and missed!
