Anna Overstreet

Anna “Shirley” Williamson Overstreet, 83, of Hattiesburg, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at her home. Visitation will be Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. at Sandy Run Worship and Praise Center with services immediately following at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Richburg Cemetery.

Mrs. Overstreet was a devoted homemaker and proud “Minister’s Wife.” She was a faithful member of Sandy Run Worship and Praise Center, where she poured her love into family and fellowship. She enjoyed working in her yard, cherished time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and never missed an opportunity to shop—always saying how much she missed Big Lots when it closed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, A.G. and Bonnie Williamson and one daughter, Tammy Eileen Overstreet.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. Earl Lavon Overstreet; two daughters, Vicky Cochran (James R.) and Pam Sumrall; seven grandchildren, Valerie Graham (Chris), Jon Newton (Elise), K.C. Hughes (Brad), Jamie Boleware (Danny), Bobbie Mooney, Brent Sumrall (Haley), and Brandy Williams; 16 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; three brothers, Lavon Williamson (Annette), Jerry Williamson (Jan), and Kenny Williamson (Joanna); two sisters, Evelyn Cascio and Irene Stuart; and numerous nieces and nephews.
