The Carson City Railroad Association (CCRA) is happy to announce the opening the Mills Park train for the summer 2025 operating season! The Carson and Mills Park Railroad train runs at Carson City’s Mills Park on Saturdays and Sundays until Labor Day, and selected Saturdays after, weather and staffing permitting.
The train operates between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., with additional days and hours for some special events. Tickets are $2 each. Children 3 years old and under are free.
The Carson and Mills Park Railroad has delighted passengers in Carson City since 1982. Operated by CCRA volunteers, Nevada’s only two-foot gauge railroad carries passengers during summer weekends.
Over the past winter, CCRA staff members have been working hard on the railroad’s track and have replaced over 220 ties, a never ending and increasingly expensive task. CCRA is always looking for new members and volunteers either to support the Carson and Mills Parking Railroad, or who are interesting in learning more about model railroading.
The train is also available for special events or private parties. Please contact us for additional information, and follow and ‘Like’ us on Facebook! CCRA is a non-profit, volunteer organization and your donations are always welcome. We look forward to see you!
For information see the CCRA website here. Questions? Email them to carsoncityrailroadassoc@gmail.com.
