Alan Adamec

Alan Frank Adamec, 74, of Monroe Township, NJ, passed away on October 29, 2023, at Penn Medicine in Plainsboro from heart failure.

Alan was born and raised in Astoria, NY. He lived in Manhattan, then Chicago, then returned to NYC, and finally settled in New Jersey.

He attended Brooklyn Tech and got his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cooper Union. He worked at Marshall Fields and Walker Group Architects and designed retail projects around the world, specializing in store planning. He later became a NYC math teacher and tutor.

Alan was a cat lover who enjoyed cooking and collecting antiques.

Alan is survived by his brother Robert (Linda) Adamec, his nephew Matthew (Rosa Mazzurco) Adamec, his niece Nicole (Mark) Goetz, and his great niece Lila Goetz.

Alan is preceded in death by his parents Anton and Anna (Yarmonchik) Adamec.

Burial will be private.
