Martha Rooks of Highland Falls, NY, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, from natural causes. She was 103 years old.

Martha was born in Thuringen, Germany, in 1921. In 1952 she married Andrew “Andy” Rooks in Mannheim, Germany. Andy and Martha moved to Highland Falls in 1953 and called it home for over 70 years. Martha retired from Ladycliff College when it closed in 1979.

Martha was preceded in death by Andy in 1992. They had no children.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. with a Funeral Service beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Willam F. Hogan Funeral Home, 135 Main Street in Highland Falls. Interment will follow at Eagle Valley Cemetery.
